The commissioning of an oil processing plant is expected in Dagestan

Dagestan New Technologies LLC will soon commission a complex for processing and storing oil products, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Dagestan Shamil Isayev said on Tuesday, March 28, following a report on the results of the implementation of the priority development project of the Republic of Dagestan.

According to the vice-premier, in the coming days it is expected to receive a license from Rostekhnadzor to launch the enterprise. “The facility was commissioned in 2016. But because of the numerous violations detected by specialists from Rostekhnadzor, the surrender of the plant was delayed”, he commented.

Shamil Isayev said that 500 jobs will be created in the republic through the implementation of the investment project, and the annual tax deductions are expected to amount to about 500 million rubles.

Dagestan New Technologies LLC has launched a project to build a complex for processing oil and storing oil products as early as 2011. In the same year, the project of the Government of Dagestan received priority status. The project provided for the construction of an oil refinery with a processing capacity of 1 million tons of oil per year and a 100,000-tonne storage facility for oil products. Investments in the project were estimated at 7.1 billion rubles. In November 2015, Rostekhnadzor found numerous violations committed during the construction of the plant, most of which was due to the company’s inconsistency with the requirements of project documentation and technical regulations.
